Technical & Innovation Manager at Unilever Production AB GB Glace Flen
We are currently seeking a Technical & Innovation (T&I) Manager for our dynamic ice cream factory in Flen. In this role, you will be a key player in implementing new ice cream products, raw materials, packaging, and technical upgrades as well as leading the T&I team. Your work will play a central role in driving innovation and efficiency at our facility.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
As a team lead, you will:
Lead and coordinate the implementation of new products, recipe improvements, new raw and packaging materials, and implementation of new technical equipment. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial for the success of these initiatives.
Act as the primary contact for development projects in central teams and at our Flen facility, meaning you will be a central collaborator in advancing projects and ensuring success.
In this role, you will work together with various departments at the factory and with external functions such as R&D, Portfolio & Innovation leads, Marketing departments, and Procurement.
Actively drive, lead, and coordinate projects in the factory, ensuring they are carried out according to agreed-upon plans. Collaborate with internal and external functions on continuous product and process improvements to contribute to increasing the factory's efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure that all relevant functions and departments within the company are updated and informed about ongoing projects and improvement efforts.
Ensure that the cost figures agreed in projects will be followed.
Manage the budget for the department.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
We envision that you have experience in similar roles within the food industry or are relatively recent graduated in areas such as chemical engineering, product development, process engineering, innovation technology, or technical project management.
As a person, you are engaged, result-oriented, proactive, possess good communication skills, and have the ability to work cross-functionally. You are driven to understand, improve, and change processes, routines, and working methods, and can collaborate across department boundaries. You are social, positive, and unafraid of new challenges. Fluent language skills in Swedish and English is a requirement, both spoken and written.

What you will be doing?

The Site Technical and Project Manager has overall responsibility for all technical operations, Safety, Health & Environment and Consumer Safety programs within the engineering purview to achieve excellence at the site level. The role is also crucial in driving and implementing new technology and machinery, continuous improvement of the existing machine park and subsequently for providing relevant training and skills development of staff.

Some key accountabilities:

· Foster the development of team & drive for excellence in execution.
· Provide strategic and technical leadership.
· Lead cross-functional teamwork.
· Lead the technical agenda for the site, both for skill development, and technology & process development.
· Proactively drive the adherence to site fundamentals, i.e. Safety, Quality, Service.
· Manage all utilities, maintenance, & engineering programs at site.
· Develop and deliver multi-year maintenance and engineering strategy to deliver critical KPI s for Supply Chain/Operations.
· Lead and facilitate the Progressive Maintenance Pillar under the Unilever Manufacturing System framework.
· Responsible for Repair & Maintenance, Capex and new engineering projects budget and project delivery.
· Responsible for technical asset management from early equipment management, project management, optimization, maintenance, and retirement
· Plan and manage project teams.
· Ensure delivery of scope, time, budget, and cash flow for all projects
· Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiencies.
· Facilitate detailed root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.


What does it take to succeed in the role?
In order to succeed in this role, we believe you have experience in supply chain operations and manufacturing and/or background. You have a proven track record of analytical thinking and project management with a broad experience of planning, organizing and implementing capital projects.
